The energy landscape is evolving faster than ever, shaping the way we live, work, and connect. From groundbreaking technologies to global challenges, energy remains at the core of progress. The 2026 Southeastern Energy Conference will bring together thought leaders, innovators, and visionaries to explore the future of energy — and the possibilities that lie ahead.

EnergyHack @ GT

EnergyHack @ GT is a hackathon designed to bring together passionate students to develop solutions addressing the critical challenges in the energy industry. Over the course of 36 hours, participants will collaborate in teams to brainstorm, design, and prototype projects (for example, AI/ML projects, web-based tools, mobile applications, etc.) that promote sustainable practices based on diverse problem statements.

Hosted by GTRI, this daylong event will facilitate collaboration, education, and innovation in AI security, plus inform the development and deployment of more secure AI-enabled systems. Learn more as it becomes available on the website.

Energy and National Security – Lunch and Learn 3

This Lunch and Learn is the third and final session in the Energy and National Security Initiative series launched by the Strategic Energy Institute and GTRI. Building on the initiative’s earlier discussions, it will focus on nuclear energy’s role in strengthening national security. The session will highlight key insights from one of the initiative’s funded research teams. A diverse group of internal and external stakeholders will join to discuss the broader implications for regional, national, and global energy security.

Research Collaboration Forum (Generative AI)

Now in its third year, Generative AI Week is North America’s leading strategic event for enterprise leaders scaling Gen AI across their organizations. As the landscape shifts from experimentation to enterprise-wide deployment, the focus turns to two things: delivery and value. This year’s agenda tackles the biggest challenge facing enterprise AI leaders: how to operationalize Generative AI at scale and realize immediate, measurable ROI.

C2ES Regional Roundtable

The 1-day gathering on the GT campus will highlight regional leadership, identify focus areas for in-depth research and policy development, and kick off a series of convenings across the region to collaboratively develop a regional roadmap for the battery and critical mineral and material industry. Learn more as it becomes available on the website.
